Every Wednesday - Open Art

Join us every Wednesday at ART 634 in Jackson, Michigan for Open Art – a day-long open art session running from 4PM to 7 PM! Whether you're an experienced artist or just getting started, this is your chance to work on your own art project in a welcoming, collaborative environment. Be inspired by fellow artists, get advice, and network with other creatives and artisans.

annie! will be hosting an open sewing room as well! Participants of all ages are welcome to bring their materials and equipment, and she will work with you one-on-one to help you complete your project. She’ll also provide guidance on selecting the right tools and materials and how to use them.

Dark Art Show - Through November 2nd

Step into the shadows of Art 634’s annual Dark Art Show, where the lurid reigns and creativity thrives. This captivating show delves into the mysterious, the macabre, and the provocative, showcasing artwork that challenges the boundaries of the eerie and the enigmatic.

Open Mic is in The Michael Palmer Gallery on the third Thursday of each month. Sign-ups will begin at 7:00p, and the mic will open at 7:30p and go until the time feels right.

Coffee, tea, cocoa, and water is available, but feel free to bring your own food and drink of choice. Also remember to bring a friend or two!.

Sunday, October 19th through Saturday, October 25th - Jackson Fashion Week

Jackson Fashion Week makes its debut this Fall with a weeklong celebration of fashion in all its forms—welcoming makers, movers, and style lovers from across the region. From October 19th through 25th, fashion-focused events will pop up throughout the county, leading to a vibrant finale: the Jackson Fashion Show at Art 634 on Saturday, October 25th.

Expect a mix of runway showcases, hands-on workshops, pop-up shops, and creative gatherings that highlight the diverse ways our community expresses itself through fashion. Whether it’s handcrafted jewelry, upcycled streetwear, or bold artistic statements, this week is about celebrating local talent and personal style. Saturday October 25th - Jackson Fashion Show

Join us on Saturday, October 25th for Jackson Fashion Week Join us for the first annual Jackson Fashion Show, an immersive evening where fashion meets art, music, and local flavor, all under one roof at the iconic Art 634.

The first annual Jackson Fashion Show is more than a runway - it's a full-sensory celebration of style, sound, and local creativity. Hosted at Art 634 in Jackson, the evening features one dynamic fashion show at two different showtimes - 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM - and showcases the bold visions of regional designers. This show, led by Oddkin and local MC, Del A. Esme, is designed to spotlight diverse models and inclusive fashion, creating space for artistry and expression to shine.

Between shows, guests will enjoy live performances from Chaunteclere, and Victor McDermott, bringing a rich mix of sound and soul to the venue. Local vendors and artists will be on-site offering handmade goods, wearable art, and creative wares, while the FFF food truck serves up fresh bites to keep the energy high. A full cash bar will be available throughout the evening, inviting guests to sip, mingle, and celebrate.

Behind the scenes, models will be styled by Jamie Laako, The Facepainte Faerie, whose hair and makeup artistry adds a final flourish to each look. From first look to final encore, the Jackson Fashion Show promises an unforgettable night of fashion, music, and community spirit.

Explore The Galleries, swap ideas, share projects-in-progress, and meet the minds behind the camera. No panels, no pressure. Just good vibes and great conversation.

Friday, November 7 - The Essence of Grace: A Multifaceted Exhibition

Join us for The Essence of Grace: A Multifaceted Exhibition, the third and final show in The Power of Words series, exploring the profound meanings of “Grace." This exhibition brings together diverse artistic interpretations, examining grace in its physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural forms. From elegant movement and nature’s harmony to themes of compassion, forgiveness, and resilience, the works invite introspection on the transformative power of grace in our lives.

The opening reception is Friday, November 7th, from 6-9 pm at Art 634. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the many dimensions of grace through art.

Are you interested in submitting artwork for The Essence of Grace: A Multifaceted Exhibition? Send us an email to art634jackson@gmail.com by midnight on October 19, 2025. Please include pictures of the work, size of the piece, and the medium. There is no limit to the number of pieces entered. The art selection committee will review each submission and notify artists by email. Selected art must be dropped off on November 2, 4-6p.

GIG is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to showcase Michigan's visual artists in the music community and provide support through our annual commission-free art show and sale. Through exhibitions, sessions, and live performances, GIG seeks to bring together artists and music enthusiasts to celebrate our home's diverse and vibrant music culture.

Each November, we host our highly anticipated annual showcase event, where visual artists and music lovers come together to experience the magic of this unique collaboration. By bridging these artistic realms, we foster collaboration, inspire innovation, and shine a light on the visionaries who make Michigan’s music scene a true feast for the eyes and ears.

Every other month, They host a FREE open creative workshop, where attendees are encouraged to bring materials for upcycling. It’s a fun, supportive environment to work on your own projects or revisit past workshop creations. Whether you're crafting solo or collaborating, you're sure to have a great time and make new friends! The open workshop runs from 1-3 pm at Art 634 and is intended for ages 18+.

Participants will be transforming worn or used clothing and repurposing them into cold weather pieces. Basic sewing techniques will be covered.
